BACKGROUND:
The photograph analyzed here (ESP_083467_1160) was acquired by NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO) HiRISE Camera on 17 May 2024 and is described as ‘Bright Icy Patch on Dune Field in Terra Sirenum.’
ANALYSIS:
In this feature I present a diverse range of anomalies ranging between about 5 metres and 15 metres across. Of special interest are the square and rectangular objects that have a metallic appearance. There are also strange disc-shaped objects and items that look sculpted at this site. A boat-shaped anomaly is also featured. Could some of these be parts of wreckage, machinery or some type of technology?
As always, until we get to see these anomalies up close and personal and investigate them in detail, I can only speculate as to what these objects might be.
