ROVER CURIOSITY | Rusted Metal-Like Artifact (Sol 3551)

BACKGROUND:
The photograph analyzed was acquired by the Mast Camera (Mastcam) onboard NASA’s Mars rover Curiosity on Sol 3551 (2022-08-02 17:34:00 UTC).

ANALYSIS:
Here I feature an artifact that has a rusted sheet metal-like appearance. Note the jagged edges which are very similar to rusted metal we find here on Earth. The artifact has multiple layers and right angles and the inside seems to be filled with sand and debris.

Could this have been part of a structure (like concrete reinformed with metal), a piece of ducting or a piece of wreckage?

My friend and Executive Producer Brian Cory Dobbs asked me to take another look at this item I featured in 2022 again this time using Gigapixel image upscaling.

As always, until we get to see these anomalies up close and personal, I can only speculate as to what these objects might be.

SIMILAR RUSTED SHEET METAL FOUND ON EARTH
Following is a black and white photograph of a piece of rusted sheet metal found here one Earth, not the similar jagged edges compared to the anomaly on Mars with similar jagged edges.

Topaz Labs’ Gigapixel is not the run-of-the-mill free AI image upscaler. It is an expensive piece of sophisticated software used in studios and by professional photographers around the world, even NASA uses Topaz Labs upscaling technology.

DISCLAIMER:
Many or all of the anomalies/artefacts covered in this presentation may be naturally occurring geological features caused by some type of geological processes, however due to the lack of specific information from the source we can only speculate whether these are all natural or some artificial in nature.

In cases where I say an anomaly looks like something I’m attempting to clarify what I see and not specifically that the anomaly is what I say it looks like.

My intention is only to share anomalies I’ve discovered on Mars and not to convince anyone that there is or was a civilization on Mars.

As Will Farrar from WhatsUpInTheSky says: “I see what I see, you see what you see.”
